Acting Workshop
The acting workshop by the sea was located high up on a cliff wall, where vast fields of wildflowers cascaded downward towards a crevice shrouded by brush and undergrowth. In the mornings the acting workshop participants would stretch out and do theatre games in the fields, returning later to the cove on the cliff beneath the crevice to prepare a communal meal.
The most honored and well respected acting workshop in all of Wales, it was the coveted treasure of the town. People made pilgrimages from the Mediterranean, South America, East Asia, and the African Continent. It was said in many a port that never was there an acting workshop the likes of this one.
Eventually though, speculators and developers got a hold of the land through a city eminent domain claim. The acting workshop was forcibly evicted and soon they began constructing modern townhouse condos leading all the way up to the ledge. The city council person tried to console her acting workshop participant constituents, explaining that real estate development is good for the whole community, but nobody wanted to hear it. |
